The CGA Junior Golf Club

'Is Your Child The Next Golfing Superstar?

The FREE 'CGA Junior Golf Club' is committed to the development of junior golf, all Junior Golfers are encouraged to join the CGA Junior Club whereby they will benefit from being taught the 'Rules and Etiquette of Golf' a bit about the history and traditions of the game and further more being given the opprotunity of being assessed by one of the Cranfied Golf Coaches in terms of their current ability and what potential they do have.

Our Junior Golf Coaching Programme is designed to encourage children to learn to play golf without being too demanding and technical, but putting a large emphasis on fun and enjoyment, which can be gained by playing this wonderful game.

The lessons are aimed at 6-15 year olds and take place throughout the week. These lessons are set out every week during school term times, lesson runs through out the year and last for 60 minutes with a maximum of 8 children in each group.

Please contact your local Cranfield Golf Academy for the latest up to date lesson prices.

JuniorAward Programme

Junior Golf Academy The award programme comprises 3 levels with 5 awards in each level. The 5 levels are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Platinum. There are 5 tasks the child has to accomplish to gain each award, which progressively become more difficult. An information pack will be given out on enrolment, which gives full details of the award syllabus.

Most of the tasks will be completed in the lessons but some will need to be done out of lesson time. A certificate will be presented at the Junior Award Presentation? In December to all children achieving awards.

We work on all aspects of the game, from basics like the grip and ball position to driving; putting, chipping and pitching, bunker shots, etiquette and rules.
