The PGA (AA)
PGA Qualified, this is a minimum 3 years training. To become certified as a PGA professional the coach must become proficient in all the relevant areas from coaching to playing to repairing equipment! To achieve PGA status they must successfully complete course work and pass some final exams.
CGA Level 1
- Completed 3 Year PGA Qualification
- CGA - 3 Day Induction Training. An intensive course to introduce the coach to CGA’s holistic approach.
- 20 hours of watching an experienced CGA coach at work.
- Presentation on where their coaching has developed since the CGA training and why it is helping get more effective results.
CGA Level 2
- Successful Completion of LEVEL 1.
- Presentation of 2 case studies to CGA panel.
- A coaching session videoed and assessed.
- Minimum of 7 watching reports – this is where another CGA coach observes the coaching session and reports on the instructing coach’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Group coaching assessed.
- Minimum of 6 assessment forms to be signed off by Scott Cranfield
- 10 written testimonials from clients
- Present a summary on 2 books that have helped their development as a coach
- Personal Development - Report on where they expanded and developed their life beyond coaching to maintain a life/work balance.
- Attended minimum of 3 CGA training days and 1 site visit training.
- Customer care – ability to look after clients needs, as demonstrated by CGA’s unique client management system.
CGA Level 3
- Successful Completion of LEVEL 2.
- Presentation of 5 further case studies to CGA panel, 3 must be on short game.
- A coaching session videoed and assessed.
- Presentation of a case study that focussed primarily on the mental game, and no technique.
- Minimum of 15 watching reports – this is where another CGA coach observes the coaching session and reports on the instructing coach’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Minimum of 12 assessment forms to be signed off by Scott Cranfield
- 30 written testimonials from clients
- Present a summary on 2 books (additional to level 2) that have helped your development as a coach
- Present a case study where the coach has developed a client’s game using performance statistics.
- Attended minimum of 10 CGA training days and 3 site visit trainings.
- Attended a 1 day training with Instinctive Golf.
- Customer care – ability to look after clients needs, as demonstrated by CGA’s unique client management system.
- Biomechanics – Coach to Present 1 case study where they have developed a client’s technique via a biomechanical assessment and corrective program.
CGA Level 4
- Successful Completion of LEVEL 3.
- Personal report on how coach has improved their coaching, this to include videoing themselves coaching to watch back.
- Coaching Beliefs – 45-60 minute presentation on how the coach views the golf swing and how they coach it.
- Presentation of 4 further case studies to CGA panel, 2 must be on short game.
- Successfully completed NLP sports practioner course or equivalent!
- Hosted a public seminar using extracts of CGA’s holistic model.
- Given Scott an awareness (mental game) style lesson.
- Minimum of 15 watching reports – this is where another CGA coach observes the coaching session and reports on the instructing coach’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Minimum of 20 assessment forms to be signed off by Scott Cranfield
- 45 written testimonials from clients
- Completed 1 leg (3 days) of the Instinctive Golf course.
- Present a summary on 3 books (additional to previous levels) that have helped the coach develop their career and skills.
- Present a summary on a health related book that has had an impact on their health knowledge and personal vitality.
- A dissertation on ho the coach has developed their own health and fitness over the last 2-3 years.
- Present a case study where they have developed a client’s game using performance statistics.
- Biomechanics - Present 2 cases (in addition to previous levels) where they have developed a client’s technique via a biomechanical assessment and corrective program.
- Attended minimum of 18 CGA training days and 8 site visit trainings.
- Attended seminars on mind of a champion and magical concentration or equivalent.
- Attended seminar on Demartini Method and Universal Laws.
- Customer care – ability to look after clients needs, as demonstrated by CGA’s unique client management system.
CGA Level 5
- Successful Completion of LEVEL 4.
- Personal report on how coach has improved their coaching, this to include videoing themselves coaching to watch back.
- Coaching Beliefs – 45-60 minute presentation on how the coach views the mental game of golf and how they coach it.
- Presentation of 4 further case studies to CGA panel, 2 must be on short game.
- ‘Art of Coaching’ – coach to present for 20 minutes on what this title means to them.
- Tour Standard – to be coaching a tournament professional for a minimum of 6 months.
- Given Scott an awareness (mental game) style lesson.
- Scott Cranfield Certification - 2 days coaching observed by Scott, minimum of 6 lessons per day.
- Minimum of 25 watching reports – this is where another CGA coach observes the coaching session and reports on the instructing coach’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Minimum of 28 assessment forms to be signed off by Scott Cranfield
- 60 written testimonials from clients. 5 must be specific to the mental game.
- Present a summary on 2 books (additional to previous levels) that have helped the coach’s development.
- Testimonial from a client/friend on how the coach has helped improve their health with a specific strategy.
- Biomechanics - Present 2 cases (in addition to previous levels) where the coach has developed a client’s technique via a biomechanical assessment and corrective program.
- Attended minimum of 24 CGA training days and 11 site visit trainings.
- Additional learning – present a summary of 3 seminars attended outside of CGA that have helped the coaches career and/or personal development
- Training Others – presented 2 training sessions to the CGA group on subjects of the coach’s choice, minimum 30 minutes.
- Presented 3 goals in action to Scott Cranfield for coach’s career/life. Goals to be a minimum of 20% developed.
- Customer care – ability to look after clients needs, as demonstrated by CGA’s unique client management system.
